I walked into a store while I was in Portugal and fell in love with the story of viana beads. It signifies independence, security and worth. The young women from Viana do Castelo had the ambition to own a necklace full of Viana’s ‘Conta’ at a time, with the money they earned from selling eggs and chickens.

The necklace comes with a pendant in filigree, part of the Portuguese Icons Collection.

Sterling Silver with 24Kt Gold Plating 16 inches in length with an extension of 2 inches for an adjustment if you wish.
